Dr. Kayane Hanna-Hindy

Dr. Kayane Hanna-Hindy, MD FACG is the Director of the Women’s Digestive Health Center at Gastroenterology Associates of Brooklyn.

Born and raised in Bay Ridge Brooklyn, she received her Bachelors at NYU and subsequently completed her fellowship and training at the State University of New York. She previously served as assistant clinical professor at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, and now has affiliations with Maimonides Medical Center. Her comprehensive training has allowed her to develop excellent skills in basic endoscopic procedures needed for the diagnosis and management of colorectal cancer screening, peptic ulcer disease and inflammatory Bowel disease. Her special interests are geared toward’s Women’s Health. She also has expertise in the management of liver, pancreatic and biliary disease.

Gastroenterology industry leadership

Dr. Hanna-Hindy is a published researcher and authored over 20 abstracts and papers. She is the newest addition to an international show called “New York Doctors” that airs globally, in which she provides her expertise to patients worldwide. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine, honoree for 2023 Power of Women Brooklyn Award, and recipient of Castle Connelly Top Docs Award. She is actively involved in the community providing free seminars on colorectal screening, GERD and issues related to Gastroenterology and Women’s Health.
